We are very pleased to announce to you all that the students of 2nd of ESO from FEDAC Manresa School are participating, once again, in a "Schools Song Contest" along with several secondary schools from Catalonia.
The contest is taking place in Barcelona in May 2015 and they will be singing a selection of songs which they have been working on at school.
After recording and videotaping the songs, they will then perform live on stage in front of other students who are also participating in the contest.
A jury will choose the winner of the "Schools Song Contest" 2015.
We must say it will not be an easy task, as the the two groups representing FEDAC Manresa from last school year could not have done it better, winding up in 1st and 3rd place. Here are the links to their videos.

What is the project about? In a few words the students must sing a song in English and the lyrics must be made up and written by themselves.
What about the music? They can either sing over a pre-existing melody (karaoke style) or alternatively they can make up the music and the lyrics themselves. We have chosen the first option.
Which songs will they be singing? There are two groups in 2nd of ESO. The first group a.k.a. 'Move It' (2nd ESO A) are going to perform a big mainstream single by a great artist, Hawaiian singer Bruno Mars’ 'The Lazy Song'. The other group , also known as 'The Revolution' (2nd ESO B) will be working on the song called 'Hit the Lights' by Selena Gomez.
